Short and Sweet Cakes by Rhonda

I have known Rebecca for more than 20 years. And yes, we were just kids back then! 😉 She has had a passion for art long before I met her but that was one of the things that I have loved about her from the start. Rebecca's abilities were fined tuned during her college years but she has always amazed me by her God given talents. She has even taken extra time to teach me many things about color, form, and perspective. She has been one of my biggest encouragers through the years. I wouldn't have the confidence that I do with creating cakes if she had not told me that I could do it. And I trust her artistic judgment. She can create masterpieces out of any median she chooses. A few years ago, I asked her to create a business logo for my cake business. I was able to tell her, over the phone, just what I wanted and she delivered it perfectly!! I absolutely LOVE my logo!!!! I'm so proud to have it and it means so much to me! She was, literally, able to capture my entire life in my logo which was what I was asking for. That was a terrible thing to ask for I know but she delivered. Not only is it just a business card but I also have the original watercolor framed and in my kitchen to look at every time that I create cakes for others. She inspired me with my logo to really go forth!! I feel confident and my logo is one of the biggest reasons! I know that Rebecca puts everything she has into each and every project she gets!

Artistic genious!

When I first saw Rebecca's work for a wedding I collaborated on, on Block Island, I was immediately taken with her talent. The entire suite she designed, from the save the dates, to the menus, the invitations, down to the table numbers were so exquisite and personal, that she never left my radar! As a wedding professional I see so many examples of graphic design on invitations etc.. and I had never seen any work like Rebecca's. In a completely unique twist, she combines her paintings with paper and turns them into a masterpiece! Rebecca was able to capture not just the essence of the island, but also brought the brides vision to life. When an opportunity came about for me to explore a signature design for a new business I was opening (on Block Island) I knew exactly who I wanted to create this clear..but yet a bit scattered vision in my head! I located Rebecca through the bride that I found her from and presented her with my project. I sent her about a million different images, everything from a color palette, hairstyles, seashells, and a body type! The most important of all things I presented Rebecca with was a vibe, and an aura, (something only a true artist can see and feel) that I wanted to incorporate into my signage and logo. Rebecca ever so patiently took all of my (some a bit obscure) visions and inspiration, and the result was breathtaking! She created a poetic, classic and exact replica of my imagination. the only explanation for this is that Rebecca's artistry clearly first comes from her heart, and then from her paintbrush.Rebecca is so completely personal an absolutely pleasure to work with. She's so thoroughly invested in what you're looking to achieve. I can't wait to work with her again the next time I need a vision brought to life!Melissa
